Small Business Week 2021 Seminar: VAC & DogMaster

Small Business Week Seminar for the Small Business of the Year Award Finalists VAC (Voluntary Action Center) & DogMaster Distillery.  Come celebrate two of the Small Business of the Year Award finalists in this joint event.  There will be a focus on small businesses working together.  Their reception will include food, contests, and door prizes.

VAC:   The Voluntary Action Center has been part of the Columbia/Boone County community for over 50 years.  Their mission is to help low-income individuals and families bridge the gaps between crisis and stability to improve quality of life.   They offer a multitude of services.  they specifically serve low-income families; underemployed/unemployed people with economic disadvantages, the homeless, elderly, and disabled individuals.  VAC is looking forward to 2021 and what the future holds for them as an organization.  More importantly, they focus on how they can continue to impact the lives of their clients and improve their quality of life.

DogMaster:  Haven't heard of DogMaster Distillery?  They make booze.  They are a small, scrappy company that makes the good stuff.  They aren't fancy.  In fact, they say they are pretty old school.  "It's awesome and we love it!"  DogMaster isn't just about the spirits - although those are pretty good too.  It is also about the people and the friendships that develop as they work to make their products the best they can be.  As they like to say:  "We take our work very seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously."  Their brand is their mission statement, it is who they truly are.
